Hi,
I live in the Pacific Northwest. I have been to, or lived in, every state on the West coast. I've seen much of what it has to offer and still chose to stay in Oregon.
I love the opportunities that are offered to photographers here, the climate is awesome (from prior experience of Southern AZ) and the experiences are abundant. A friend told me shortly after I first moved here: "There is no extreme that cant be reached within 2 hours of Portland". I have found this to be so. The mountains, the bustle of a busy city, the coast, several rivers, high desert, volcano, and a glacier. Where else can you find all this variety in one place?!?
Gotta Love Portland!
