Hi, I live in the Pacific Northwest. I have been to, or lived in, every state on the West coast. I've seen much of what it has to offer and still chose to stay in Oregon. I love the opportunities that are offered to photographers here, the climate is awesome (from prior experience of Southern AZ) and the experiences are abundant. A friend told me shortly after I first moved here: "There is no extreme that cant be reached within 2 hours of Portland". I have found this to be so. The mountains, the bustle of a busy city, the coast, several rivers, high desert, volcano, and a glacier. Where else can you find all this variety in one place?!? Gotta Love Portland!

Todd, I have ordered two of your great photos from the Halsey boat races. The photo that shows the boat going through, well the big guy in the green shirt being just missed by the boat is me. I gotta have this to show all the people who couldn't be there to see it in person. I'm a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 585 and we were there to help with parking. I didn't think it would include the boats
