Mookini Heiau

Mookini Heiau

This was a shot of Mookini Heiau. This is a composite of about 6 shots stitched together to get the image level and color saturation even. Similar to the shot of the waterfront under the Hawthorn bridge in Portland, but I was told it looked better without the color matches. More of a mural than a 'finished piece'.
This is a place of worship and sacrifice. There is an altar where a funnel shaped rock sits to drain the blood of sacrifices as they were skinned alive... or so goes the story. ouch
